RACE HOTELS
Palm Beach County, Florida is a beautiful and diverse place. Make “Peanut Island 24” the highlight of your multi-day vacation at the beach. Many fine hotels in all price ranges are offered here, including ocean front. Here is a list of properties offering a reduced rate for “Peanut Island 24” runners and guests. Make reservations early as these specially priced blocks of rooms will be released to the general public well in advance of race week.

Palm Beach Gardens:
These two properties are located a few miles from Peanut Island and are not located on the water. However, they are conveniently located, offer exceptional value and are both very nice properties.

This property is attractive and very well maintained with a terrific pool area. Reservations are made by phone or online. Singer Island:

Palm Beach Shores:
Sailfish Marina Resort, 98 Lake Drive, Palm Beach Shores, FL 33404. Sailfish Marina is a small hotel located directly across the Intracoastal Waterway from Peanut Island. The hotel is part of a marina complex with a restaurant, located in Palm Beach Shores at the southern end of Singer Island. Room prices range from $135-$295. We have not been successful in negotiating a discounted rate, but include the property because it is quite unique and might be of interest to some Peanut Island 24 participants. www.sailfishmarina.com.

TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE ISLAND
At least one race-dedicated boat will ferry runners and their guests (and gear) to Peanut Island from the dock at the southern end of Riviera Beach Marina, beginning at approximately 7:00 AM on December 31st. Space on the boat(s) is limited, so accommodation on all trips will be on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis. Boats will travel back and forth during peak hours before each race start, and again at the conclusion of each event. At other times, boat travel will be provided as an accommodation based upon boat and captain availability, and weather conditions. More detailed information will be provided to registered runners as race day approaches.

RACE STARTING TIMES:
24 hour race begins December 31 at 10:00 AM.
12 hour races begin at 12:00 noon or 10:00 PM on December 31.
6 hour races begin at 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM on December 31.
Pre-race check-in for all runners begins 60 minutes before each race starting time, and the pre-race meeting is 30 minutes before each race start. Attendance at the meeting is mandatory in order to participate in the race. Allow plenty of time to get onto the island.

As an alternative to race-provided transportation, commercial transport by Captain Joe’s Peanut Island Ferry is available from Riviera Beach Marina. Call 561-339-2504, for prices and times.
