Support the Fakahatchee Strand Reserve State Park directly by donating here to "Friends of Fakahatchee, Inc." Citizen Support Groups like this one exist for the purpose of preserving the park’s unique ecology and educating the public about its importance. “Friends” also create and conduct programs for the public, such as swamp walking tours, all on a volunteer basis. Membership dues and donations directly support this wonderful natural treasure. You may donate online by clicking the button below, or by mailing a check to, "Friends of Fakahatchee, Inc.", P.O. Box 35, Everglades City, FL 34139. (Please indicate “EVERGLADES ULTRAS” on the check.) Please consider becoming a member of "Friends of Fakahatchee", too. The membership form may be accessed at the following link: Membership Form Individual membership is just $20.00; family membership is $30. Other membership support levels are offered and encouraged. Refund of race entry fee: any runner who is responsible for donated funds in any of the above forms of at least 4 times his/her entry fee will have that fee refunded in full! Runners should notify the Race Director when engaging in fundraising in order to accurately track such donations.  |
